Introducing Instructions for Traveling West

She's finally here and available for preorder

Oh friends.

I’m so excited (and completely tearful) to announce that my debut collection, Instructions for Traveling West, is finally available for preorder. The book will be released in April 2024, but you can preorder right now.

If you’ve ever dangled in the dark, felt homesick for your unlived lives, or ached to fling yourself into the jaws of Whatever Comes Next, I wrote this book for you.

Instructions for Traveling West asks the questions haunting us all: what happens when we leap? How do we mend after terrible loss? Where do we finally find home?

There are over 115 poems included—the majority of which I’ve never previously shared online. I’ve written each piece as an anthem, sometimes a howl, a lantern in the foggy night.

Preorders mean everything, friends. They let bookstores know to stock this book and they signal to publishers that this is an author readers want to keep writing. Strong preorders also mean the opportunity for me to write a second collection or even a debut novel.
